Common questions

Do I need any prior knowledge of Arabic or Darija?
Not at all. This course is built for complete beginners. If you've already studied some Darija, you'll still benefit; you'll finally fix the pronunciation habits that may have been holding you back.
Is Arabic script used in the course?
No. Everything is written in Latin letters, making it much easier to follow along without any prior knowledge of the Arabic alphabet.
What language is the course taught in?
The course is taught in English, kept simple and clear so that learners of all levels can follow comfortably.
Is there homework and practice?
Yes, and lots of it. The course is 70% practice, with interactive exercises, speaking drills, and a 14-day pronunciation challenge to build real consistency. You also get personal feedback from Amine on your homework.
What does the numbers system mean (3, 7, 9)?
Darija has sounds that don't exist in English, so Latin script uses numbers to represent them. The course explains this clearly from the very first lesson; you'll pick it up naturally in no time.
Is this Moroccan Darija specifically, or Modern Standard Arabic?
This is 100% Moroccan Darija, the living spoken dialect used in everyday life across Morocco. It is not Modern Standard Arabic or any other dialect. Every sound, example, and rhythm is authentically Moroccan.
How long will it take to complete the course?
The course is fully self-paced. Most students complete the core modules in 2 to 3 weeks. The 14-day challenge adds another layer of daily practice. Short, regular sessions will take you much further than occasional long ones.
